Wanderlust [Prada Marfa]

By Leslielazard @leslielazard

How many of you keep a bucket list? I don’t particularly care for the phrase itself – bucket list can sound a bit macabre – but I do like the idea of keeping a tally of goals, aspirations, classes, skills, etc. that you’d like to accomplish. However, instead of a bucket list I like to think of it more as a life to – do list. I like the sound of that wayyyy more than bucket list. I blame the movie for the overused phrase.

Anywho, one of the things on my life to – do list is travel, and let me tall ya’ll quite a few places are on my travel list. Italy, France, Greece, hell an entire summer spent wandering around Europe are all on said list. But until I can afford to take a summer long break from life and responsibilities, (seriously regretting not choosing a teaching career) one of the more attainable places on my travel list is the Prada Marfa in Marfa, Texas.

Seeing as though I live right next door to Texas, a road trip to Marfa should definitely be in the cards sometime soon don’t you think? And by soon I mean sometime in 2014 or 2015. Hey, I’m a bit of procrastinator but I’m sure this trip would be well worth the wait. Who’s down for a girls road trip? We can pack our cowboy boots, fun sunnies, bucket hats, and props and have a fabulous impromptu photo sesh once we arrive. And of course we’ll document all of our travel adventures on Instagram or else it wouldn’t be much of a trip would it? We might even run into some cute cowboys on our little adventure.

I’m so not single so cowboys aren’t in the cards for me anytime soon. But back in the day in my single days – yes.
