Welcome back Laura F. of blushandbeakers.com as she takes us into the world of Walter Baker and his chic collection of jetsetting looks.
W118 By Walter Baker S/S 2013 was inspired by the the “modern jetsetter, accented by a mixture of texture and dimensions.” The jetsetter notion was clearly symbolized through the V formation of the models, visually presenting the models in flight as a flock of birds.

One side of the “V” showed more muted and nude palettes with a splash of a spring color such as chartreuse and sky blue. The pattern and texture mixtures made for edgy pieces that were not jarring to the eye, and bumped casual wear up several notches.

The other side of the V showcased more tropical colors and prints, reminiscent of summer. These silhouettes were more flowy, colorful and laid back. Bright bags and clutches accented the ensembles, also by Walter Baker to showcase the designer’s growing brand.

The colorful Skullcandy headsets were a nice edition to the entire collection, especially since the modern jetsetter absolutely needs her overpriced, noise cancelling headphones to top off her look.
