25th April 2021. It's 17th day of Vivo IPLT20 2021 that started on 9th April. Today, we had two matches, as it is a Sunday. Earlier in the day T20 match 19 of 60 was played between CSK (Chennai Super Kings) and RCB (Royal Challenger Bengaluru). CSK batting first made 191 for the loss of 4 wickets. It was poor Harshal Patel's last over and also the game's last over that was brutally hammered by Ravindra Jadeja. 28 balls, 62 runs, 4 fours, and 5 sixes. And all the five sixes coming in that last over. It completely destroyed Patel's beautiful bowling figures prior to that over. And ultimately this over has become the costliest over of this season. The score that would have been not more than 160 extrapolated to 191. This itself was good enough to lower the tempo of RCB batting. None of the RCB batsman could mentally prepare himself to stay on the crease and work towards that big total. Similar to batting, the bowling hero was none other than Jadeja. RCB could make only 122 for 9 against CSK's 191.

The second match of the day is between DC and SRH. Delhi batted first and against a promising start of around 10 runs per over in first 5 overs they could accumulate only 159 for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. By the end is 8 overs in reply Sun Risers Hyderabad are 64 for the loss of two wickets. As of now, it could be anybody's game.
Out of these 20 matches so far, it is only three matches that could witness a team crossing 200 mark in batting. The first was the match number 4 played on 12th April between Punjab and Rajasthan in which Punjab made 221 for 6 batting first. Rajasthan gave a befitting reply but feel short by just 4 runs and lost the match. Three batting heroes from Punjab side were captain KL Rahul making 91 of 50 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes, Chris Gayle making 40 of 28 with 4 fours and 2 sixes, and Deepak Hooda made 64 of only 28 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes. That was a phenomenal batting. In reply the solo hero from Rajasthan was their new captain of the season Sanju Samson who made a brilliant century 119 runs in just 63 balls with 12 fours and 7 hefty sixes. The match was in Rajasthan's favour till the last ball of the game. This was one of the most exciting match of the season.
Game number 10 played on 18th April between RCB and KKR saw RCB making 204 for 4 batting first. Kolkata had no strong reply to that And they were 166 for 8 batting second. Similarly, game number 15 played on 15th April Between Chennai and Kolkata was a high scoring match. Chennai made 220 losing only three wickets. Both the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad 64 of 42 with 6 fours and 4 sixes, and Faf du Plessis 95 of 60 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes were exceptionally good. Andre Russel from Kolkata had almost snatched the game from CSK before getting bold out in an unfortunate manner. Russel made 54 of only 22 balls with 3 fours and 6 sixes. Then it was Pat Cummins who played a memorable innings of 66 off just 34 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes. Despite Kolkata losing this match, cricket fans will remember Andre Russel and Pat Cummins for their fabulous fearless heroic battings.
