We are likely to be only months from the 4 season of the Virgin River that Virgin series is loved but according to Alexandra Breckenridge, production in season 5 will not take place in March 2022 as scheduled before.
As you know, Virgin River is extended for two additional seasons shortly after the season’s release 3. At the time of the announcement, filming in the season 4 has been going well. Season 4 of the production wrapped in the Virgin River at the end of December 2021 just before Christmas.
At this time, the release date has not been announced for the Virgin River season 4. Given the 4 season wrapped in the same period of time that season 3 does it, the summer release date seems most likely at this time but even faster depends on post-production progress.
Extension of season 5 is unavoidable if you see performance statistics. In the first four weeks on Netflix, 3 season watched 223.06 million hours. It is displayed in the global top 10 graph for a total of 6 weeks for a total of 255,120,000 hours watching.
Which leads us to the 5 show season.
With super early updates, it means that the room is likely to be able to produce a back-to-back series.
It seems so the case now revealed that production in the 5 season initially will begin in March 2022 but it has now been pushed back.
In Livestream Instagram, Alexandra Breckenridge (who played Mel Monroe on the show) answered some questions including the clearest with this article when season 5 will start filming.
“We should start in March but have been pushed so I don’t know.” Add “I hope maybe we will start in the summer. It would be nice to shoot in Vancouver in the summer than in winter because it becomes very honest with you, I have enough filming in winter.”
