Today we’re sharing the rustic vintage wedding of Bonnie and Ben. These two lovebirds chose to seal their love in Cyprus, where they had previous holidays and loved the place. They wanted something intimate and quiet, so they organized their wedding in a small traditional hotel in the Nicokleia village. The venue Vasilias Nikoklis Inn was the perfect location for such a wedding! The place was beautifully adorned with rustic and vintage details such as trunks, burlap, lace, gypsophila and blush pink roses. If you love this kind of weddings, prepare to get inspired by the following images… Beautiful!

The bride shared with us: “We met nearly 14 years ago in a bar on a night out in town. After a few dates we knew we were made for each other. 4 years passed we had moved in to our first home together and were expecting our first baby. A couple more years passed and on the day before our son Freddie’s 2nd birthday, Ben took me to a restaurant called FREDDIES, where he had booked a lovely table and told the restaurant staff what he was planning to do. Halfway through our meal he was acting very nervous and i had no idea what was about to happen, he stood up then got down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant, took my stunning engagement ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him. The Champagne was already on ice which was bought over to us by the waiters as soon as I said yes. One of the happiest days of my life which I’ll never forget.”

“Believe it or not, my mom saw my wedding dress a couple of years after Ben proposed and she knew I’d love it. She bought it without me knowing. When we finally set a date 6 years after the proposal she told me she had it, the first time I saw it I fell in love with it. The dress itself, is a Vintage style with a white mesh bottom with a vintage structured bodice, which is embellished with sequins, bugle beads and mini pearls.”

“We always wanted to get married in Cyprus as we’d had previous holidays together there. We didn’t want a beach or hotel wedding, we wanted something private, quiet and personal with close family & friends. Our amazing wedding planner Vicki Squirrel from Tie The Knot suggested it to us along with a few other stunning locations but the Vasilias Nikoklis Inn stood out so much more, as soon as we looked into it further we realised it was our perfect venue.”

“As for our wedding decoration, we went for a nice rustic and simple look, we didn’t want to over complicate things by using lots of different colours and decor. We used neutral colours and natural items on the table. Plenty of lovely fairy lighting and candles. Hanging white bird cages & hearts.”

“We wanted a vintage, rustic and classy looking wedding. Our main colours were blush pink which was the colours for our bridesmaids dresses and ties etc…. we also used blush pink roses and Gypsophylia with most floral decors including the table & chair decor and cake.”

“I found the blogs Chic and Stylish Weddings, Love4Weddings and EverAfter really helpful, as I was planning my wedding. We looked through lots of different wedding styles to get some ideas but made sure we put our own stamp on the whole day.”

“I know it sounds cliché, but basically the whole day from start to finish was amazing and we didn’t want it to end. Having our family and friends there with us, was really special, and I think they were just as amazed by the whole day and venue as we were.”

Advice to a bride-to-be: “We would highly recommend getting a wedding planner. We could not have done what we did without Vicki. She was amazing from start to finish. Don’t try and do it all yourself, don’t stress and relax. Everything will fall into place on the actual day.”
