I have to admit that I'm conflicted about fur. On the one hand, I completely understand why it's often a vile, cruel industry. I also realize that shutting down an entire industry in our fragile economic times can also only cause harm. If only we could find a way to come to a happy medium. In the meantime, I can appreciate my vintage piece recently inherited from my Nana. My mom purchased this fox for herself back in the late 60s/early 70s but it quickly became my Nana's signature piece. I hadn't worn it out yet since hanging it in my own closet a year ago because I was afraid of being verbally attacked by anti-fur zealots. But the fact is, I'm proud to wear something that my Nana loved so much and I feel close to her when I wear it.
But I didn't need to worry- not a single person yelled or glared at me. In fact, I heard only compliments!
