True Blood‘s Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux) is in his hometown of Pittsburgh this weekend, and he stopped by the Children’s Hospital where he made some special fans’ day.  Manganiello visited some of the kids, posed for pictures with them and signed autographs and he spoke to WTAE about the kids and his upcoming event.  As we reported to you earlier, he will be hosting an event on September 11th which will benefit the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.  Your ticket to the event gets you an evening with Manganiello at Mixx in Station Square, you will get to watch the Season 4 finale of HBO‘s True Blood, and you will receive an autograph of Joe at the end of the night!  Tickets are $25 and you can click here to purchase them.  If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation in honor of Joe Manganiello and help support a worthy cause.  You must be 21 to attend this event.

In the video Manganiello says that he can only imagine what it must be like to be so ill and that if him coming in will help cheer the kids up he is happy to do it.  He reveals that he will be accepting the Great Alumni Award from his old school on Friday night and he wanted to give back to the community while he is in town.  Although most of the kids are too young to have seen True Blood, Manganiello says that they do know that he is a werewolf and he tried to relate to them with some of his other roles.  He talks a little about some of his upcoming projects and then really promotes the event that is taking place on Sunday night.
