If you ask me, Francisco the Man released one of the strongest singles of the summer. On “Progress”, the song in question, the LA quartet pulls of a wise amalgam of synth-pop and shoegaze with a slap of punk energy attached. It got everything to dance away the last days of summer in a haze of regretless fever. To remind you just how good this track is, the band released this hyperactive video directed by MacGregor Greenlee.
Francisco the Man’s debut album Loose Ends is due out on September 30 via Small Plates. Pre-order vinyl here.
