Victoriana Inspired Wedding Ideas from Northdown House in Kent

Victoriana wedding ideas blog — fabulous florals and delicious little details

Today’s wedding blog is a fantastic Victoriana inspired shoot from a quirky English wedding venue — the kind of place with decades of history and bundles of character and charm. Wedding photographer Rebecca Douglas told me all about this fantastic collaborative shoot with a bunch of Kent wedding suppliers and I knew straight away I had to share it with you! I’ll hand over to Rebecca to tell you more Enjoy! Claire x

The shoot was based in Northdown House in the coastal town of Margate. I have always loved this venue with its quirky features (check out the flooring!!) and beautiful grounds. Together with some brilliant suppliers we used the Victorian era as our theme using lots of lace, florals and pastel colours. We had a goldsmith who designed some jewellery for the shoot and Crown and Glory who loaned some florals for the hair. I am still awestruck by the stunning floral crown that our florist, Emma Campbell put together and which Faye looked stunning in. I think we have created some really unique looks from the shoot.
