Water slides used to be one of the fun places in theme parks. That’s until they started making them insanely scary like the 134-foot tall Insano water slide, which used to be the tallest water slide in the world. Now we have new record breaker from Kansas City.
This water slide dubbed Verrückt (meaning “insane” in German) is currently being built over at Schlitterbahn park in Kansas City. According to Kansas City Star., you’ll have to climb about 264 steps to reach the top of the 140-feet tall water slide, which will then take you down speeding at 65 mph. That’s as tall as a 17 story building.

Apparently, the company thinks that people are not having fun unless they’re screaming. “At Schlitterbahn we love rides that encourage people to share the experience. Besides it’s more fun if someone is screaming in your ear.” Which is why they felt the need to built something this “insane.” Obviously, they seems to have a different definition of fun.
