Veronica Bianqui is a name we all will be knowing soon enough for her sound and style reminded me of Lily Allen.
Veronica was kind enough to answer a few questions for us about her latest single Victim and the possibility of new music.
What was your inspiration for your latest video and single, Victim?
Well, originally I wrote it with the intention in mind to write a concept album. It would trace the journey of the development, recognition, and eventual breaking free of unhealthy behavioral patterns. I still might make that album…. The video, directed by Kevin P. Kearney and Mary Florence Brown, is very much in my style of pop art, bright colors, and yet I’m the only one in black and white throughout the video. I’ll let you all interpret that how you wish.
Do you have an album coming out soon? If so, when can people get it?
I don’t know, any labels out there wanna release it? I’ve recorded all the tunes, just need to get it out there! I’m aiming for next year.
What made you want to donate the proceeds of your latest single to Harm Reduction Coalition?
I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself, and raise awareness about harm reduction for addicts.
Do you have any shows coming up in the near future? If so, where and when?
Nothing announced at the moment.
Are you working on any new music?
Yes…just you wait….
What music are you listening to right now?
I was recently in Brazil, so I was listening to a lot of Brazilian music. Mostly KSURF AM 1260! I’m obsessed with that station.
What was the best part of making the music video for Victim?
Working with a great team.
Thank you to Veronica for taking the time and chatting with us. And make sure to watch her music video Victim below! What are your thoughts on this music video?
