Breath-taking views, gorgeous architecture, and amazingly yummy food! I promised this post over a week ago and just now I managed to find some time to look again through all the photos we took in Venice. Honestly I was a bit reluctant when my boyfriend told me he just booked a trip to Venice for our birthday since I was already there twice in the past (during Summer) and I could only imagine millions of tourists everywhere, crowded cobbled streets and stinky water. But I loved it 100%! Mild weather around 15° (at the end of November), few tourists, complete change of scenery compared with Berlin, charming and romantic - truly a pleasure to get lost in Venice. Here's my travel experience!
We spend the entire 4 days walking the city, getting constantly lost, visiting the popular attractions like San Marco Square, the Rialto Bridge and Ponte dell'Accademia but also cute hidden streets around the lagoon walking non-stop all day. As per some of these images, we also ate a lot (arhmm.. maybe a bit too much) but you literally can't say no to cicchetti, pasta, seafood or any of their sweets. Try Cantine Do Spada - for delicious cicchetti, Dal Moro's - fresh pasta and n°1 on Trip Advisor, or Muro Frari for a bit of fancy dining.
Our hotel with a gorgeous view. We were starting the day with breakfast in bed, followed by a second espresso around 11, then wondering the streets, having lunch in cute Osterias', then some more walking and visiting, having the casual glass of Spritz at 6PM followd by dinner and then some more glasses of Spritz. Note to self: go freelance and move to Italy! Please!
