Verdict on Vengeance
Vengeance is a comedy thriller following an unlikely podcaster drawn into solving the mystery of an ex-girlfriend’s death. It starts out just being a routine death, but he gets led down a path that suggests she was murdered.
This is a film that takes an outsider placed in a different world. He must adapt to Texas, while he conducts his investigation into an old friend’s death. The idea that he needs to learn more about the area helps keep things interesting, despite him never fitting in. It is filled with dreamers that want more from their lives and try to find an understanding of everything they go through. We get strong performances from the whole cast that help build a bond between the characters.
Final Thoughts – Vengeance is a smartly written comedy mystery with a reflective mood.
