Veering More Towards Vuvu ...

We've become huge fans of Vuvuvultures over the past few months, and whilst their new tour started the other day, to coincide with it, they still managed to find the time to shoot and release yet another music video. Empurrar/Puxar, which in Portuguese means Push/Pull (the title of their latest album), is yet another moody melody, but one that we can't stop listening to.
This one is much slower than that of their previous singles, but one that still captivates what it is they're about. You can immediately tell that it has their signatures all over it. The deep tones of that bass, the unsuspecting synths that just won't leave you be, and that vocal that, time and time again, we've managed to compare to LadyHawke ... they all blend together to offer something so much more in the way of Arctic Monkeys latest album and, therefore, something absolutely incredible, and most definitely what the music industry is currently looking for.
Like the modern day No Doubt, this lot are fronted by what could easily become one of the most powerful women in the industry. Her vigour is one of mystery, and that is massively appealing. The fact that they master this by surrounding her with this God-like music, which shrouds her in the same mystery, really does set off so many signs that these guys could, and should, be the next big things.
We can't help but feel overjoyed every time we hear them, and suspect that, given that little push, the name Vuvuvultures will be the next on everyone's lips.
We're utterly excited to hear the album and, given that every single they've managed has been right up our street, we reckon we're in for a real treat.
Paul.
