The James Brown biopic, “Get On Up” stars Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd. We already posted the first teaser trailer for the film here.
Nelsan plays the part of Bobby Byrd in the film. Byrd played an integral and important part in the development of soul and funk music in association with James Brown.
