Vaults – Premonitions SoundCloud

Since releasing their first track eight months ago, London’s electro-pop trio, Vaults, have been quiet until debuting their powerful, new single “Premonitions”. With the haunting, melancholy tone of Broods and the Lorde-esque use of beat-based minimalism, “Premonitions” brews a haunting sense of anticipation with the stark silence between snaps and dark, ruminating vocals of lead singer, Blythe. Transcending into a full choir of synth, strings and swirling, high-pitched ‘oo’s, the sonics and message of the song match in tonality — a mournful, yet bright release of past heartbreak into future success. Following the bass as it swells with intensity, the song ebbs and flows, united by Blythe’s sensual vocals and the steady tick of the beat. These Londoners know how to make a tune that hits deep into the soul. Hopefully, we wont have to wait eight months for their next track.
