Iceage side project Var– comprised of Elias Bender Rønnenfelt and Loke Rahbek– create fuzzy, eerie, lo-fi sounds that fit their mysterious, androgynous aesthetic. “Into Distance” is slightly more upbeat than last year’s single “In Your Arms,” yet still evokes a similarly hazy, isolated feeling. From the looks of it, forthcoming debut No One Dances Quite Like My Brothers should be filled with many dark, delightful surprises.
