My friend Dawn is snap-happy. Those were her words. Given the chance, she will take more photos rather than less. This was how my visit with her earlier this year transpired. We drove around Wales, visited some killer places like Llandudno and Portmeirion, and we took oodles and oodles of photos. I’m a little snap-happy too, but I also enjoy playing model. I’m well aware that I’m far from being America’s Next Top Model, but if someone wants to hit the button on the camera, I will frolic and jump and make my hair big and smeyes until the end of time.
It was fun to take photos with Dawn’s direction. Being the creative soul that she is, she had real vision when it came to the photos she was taking. At one point, she asked me to drape my orange scarf over my head. I was wearing my hair in a high topknot that day, so I asked, “Won’t it just look like I have a big lump on my head? Or a conehead?” and her quick response was, “I want the height.” The effect was interesting, and I don’t think my head looks as lumpy as I’d imagined it would.
Anyway… it’s always fun to see yourself through someone else’s eyes… particularly in the Welsh countryside.
