Valve showed great potential in its’  future plans for broadening the company video game empire by making  its’ own Steam gaming console that runs on its’ own operating system, supported by an awesome new controller. They called the consoles “Steam Machines” which gets powered by the Steam OS, an upgraded Linux distribution that will be available free for anyone to use and build their own Steam Machine. Valve kept all the details of the Steam Machine they are building to a minimum during the recent press event. However they have finally unveiled the Steam Machine. And, it looks a lot like Xbox One.

Folks over at Seattle Times have been lucky enough to go up close with the Steam Machines and take a few snaps of them. Although, according to the report, this is only the prototype version of the Steam Machines. Which means you could expect this to look way cooler when it hits the stores. For now you will have to settle with these black and greyish eye candy.
