Uttar Pradesh News: Former Union Minister and Samajwadi Party leader Beni Prasad Verma has died in Lucknow. He had been running unwell for a long time.

Beni Prasad Varma was one of the founders of the Samajwadi Party and the veteran leaders of the country. Beni Prasad Verma was a Rajya Sabha MP from the Samajwadi Party.

Beni Prasad Verma was considered to be the most popular leader of the Kurmi community of Uttar Pradesh. Beni Prasad Verma was the Union Steel Minister in the UPA 2 government.

The news of his death has triggered a wave of mourning in Barabanki district.

In 1996, he became the Independent Minister of State for Communications. This year he was also given the charge of Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. He again won the 1996 Lok Sabha elections.

In 1998, Uttar Pradesh became a prominent member of the SP party. Prior to this he was the General Secretary of the Samajwadi Party. He served as the Union Minister of Communications in the Deve Gowda Cabinet from 1996 to 1998.

In 1998, he became the Minister of Public Work and Parliamentary Affairs in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In 1999, he left SP and joined the Janata Dal and became its chief. During this time he became a member of the Janata Dal’s Parliamentary Board.
