Federal agents are investigating a report from a girl who claims she was told by a USC security official that she wasn’t raped because her assailant didn’t orgasm! Jezebel is reporting that: “thirteen students, along with several other unnamed students, claim they suffered from extensive failures on the part of USC administrators and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in responding to reports of sexual violence on campus.”
The site lists other complaints apparently ignored by the school. They include:
- [USC student Tucker] Reed, the lead complainant, said USC dismissed her claim that her ex-boyfriend had raped her, despite her providing audio recordings of him admitting to it. At one point, Reed said, a USC official told her the goal was to offer an “educative” process, not to “punish” the assailant.
- When a student went to the DPS to report a sexual assault an officer told her and a friend, also a sexual assault survivor who had accompanied her, that women should not go out, get drunk and expect not to get raped.
I’m having a real hard time conveying my opinion in this post without the use of profanity. I always try to remain professional. I’ll just let you think of the words I am thinking.
USC should be ashamed of itself. It is repulsive these officials ignored these claims. Not only did they ignore them but they excused them!
RAPE CAN NEVER AND WILL NEVER BE EXCUSABLE!!!!
I really hope this is ingrained into these nitwits. I hope the Feds find enough evidence to imprison these attackers. The DPS officials deserve to be fired. Anything less for either party is unacceptable and shameful.
What do you think?
