Temperatures this week:

What a start to November! Sunday the temperature climbed to 37.3C. Then thunderstorms started with more than 150,000 lightning strikes during Monday sparking grass fires around the state. With the strong winds that accompanied the storms it was just as well that they brought rain as well to put those fires out. We even had a burst of hail on Monday night!! Fortunately most of the garden was covered with shadecloth because of the heat on the weekend so that kept the hail off the new seedlings.

The Fridge Wicking Beds are doing well. I recently put some mesh up for the (bush) Cucumbers to climb on and next morning they had already found the wire to hold on to.
Still in the Fridge Wicking Beds...the Tongues of Fire Dwarf beans had a staggered germination but it allowed me to photograph the stages of growth!
Black Sultana Grape Flowers
