UP Los Banos' SamaSining Stages Articulo Mortis

The University of the Philippines Los Baños' SamaSining--the laboratory arm of the Department of Humanities--and the Theatre Communication Class will stage Eljay Deldoc’s "Articulo Mortis" at the DL Umali Auditorium on February 15, 7 p.m., February 16, 7 p.m., February 17, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and February 18, 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., as part of Tanghal, the first Southern Tagalog Arts Festival.
Directed by Ron Biñas, "Articulo Mortis" is a new play that that attempts to look at the phenomenon of death. Five different stories of five different people explore the two sides to this experience: the side where we live and the side where we are supposed to continue living in some form.
The story is an interweaving of five women’s perspectives of their death, or their experience of crossing the light. Vera, Sol, Isabel, Katha and Rita grapple with whether to accept their demise or plead for another chance.
