Unlock Your Moto X with a Digital Tattoo

Motorola launched a new feature that will allow you to unlock your Moto X smartphone via a digital tattoo. The tattoo can be placed on your arm, hand or anywhere else you want, and, according to the company, it’s the simplest way to unlock your phone.

Unlock your phone with a digital tattoo!

The ultra thin tattoo will come with NFC and will allow you to unlock your phone without having to type in a passcode. Sounds kind of cool, doesn’t it? The digital tattoo is the size of a nickel and will hold through approximately five days – it’ll survive showering, working out, swimming and other everyday activities. The tattoos come in packs of 10 and should get you through a whole month. A set of 10 tattoos costs $9.99 (about 7 euros) and they are only available in the US at the moment.

The digital tattoos were developed by Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects group and Vivalink and will work with the Moto X only (for now), although we can expect them to function with other devices in the future, too.

No fumbling, no typing – just tap.
