The University of Michigan will be the first university to feature an NFT gallery. The university partnered with Graduate Ann Arbor and MORE Management to present a sports-inspired NFT gallery.
What is ‘Victor NFT’ by the University of Michigan?
The University of Michigan, Graduate Ann Arbor and MORE management launched “Victors NFT” yesterday. The NFT gallery is a display of NFTs across six digital screens. These screens feature Bored Ape Yacht Club, and art created by athletes from the University of Michigan. Current Michigan sports stars Zak Zinter, Cade McNamara and Mazie Smith are some of the athletes who participated in the project. In addition, legendary football quarterback Tom Brady is a fan of this team too.
The exhibition will be on display at the Graduate Anne Arbor lobby. In addition, the ‘Bored on Campus’ website will be launched alongside the exhibition. Via this website, students can buy merchandise inspired by this NFT project.
Majorly, this University of Michigan-approved NFT gallery gives student-athletes the chance to earn money from these NFTs. Surely, this will provide more support for their education and career.
Graduate Ann Arbor general manager Jason Nelson stated that “The University of Michigan football program is beloved by the Ann Arbor community, and we’re thrilled to provide fans a new way to communicate with and support its players, past and present.
NFT and collage athletes
The NCAA has announced a set of rules which allow college athletes to use their NIL for commercial investments such as NFTs. In deed, the University of Michigan’s Cade McNamara lately signed an NFT and crypto-related contract with MORE management. Surely, college athletes will take advantage of the NCAA’s recent rule change to benefit from their NIL through NFTs.
