UJoint’s patio has been teasing me for more than a year now. Every time I drove by UJoint I would say to myself, “Man I really want to drink a beer on that patio.”
Well Sunday the chance to do exactly that presented itself.
I enjoyed a nice pint of Pisgah Blueberry Wheat on the patio while I waited for my food to arrive. The Blueberry Wheat is one of my favorite local beers. Does the fact that I like a fruit beer make me a girl? I really need to take one of Brewgasm’s Beer 101 classes.
I ordered the Steinbeck Burger topped with a mound of pimento cheese, bacon, and jalapeños.

Good God what a great burger!
I’ve had a lot of burgers in this town topped with a lot of fancy smancy ingredients.
But UJoint is just like, “we are just going to slap some pimento cheese, bacon, and jalapeños on that bad boy of a burger and you are going to like it son.”
Oh and liked it I did. I ate the masterpiece in glorified silence and did not have a single regret cleaning my plate. The key to this burger is the pimento cheese really compliments the slight burn of the jalapeños and that topped onto a burger and bacon is a home run. Even the bun is great!
UJoin’t patio will now be a regular spot where I can hopefully enjoy Pigsah Pumpkin Ale soon.
