The Uncharted film may not have an actor to play Nathan Drake, but that hasn’t stopped Sony from giving it a theatrical release date.
According to a Sony pictures update on The Hollywood Reporter, Sony plans to release the Uncharted movie on June 10, 2016, filling the spot Amazing Spider-Man 3 previously held until it was pushed into 2018.
The screenplay for the film is being written by David Guggenheim, it will be produced Arad/Atlas Entertainment, and as previously reported, directed by Seth Gordon. Doug Belgrad, president of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, said “June 10 is a great date for Uncharted.”
“It’s just the right place for this exciting action-adventure film,” he said.
