UMass Football’s Spring Game Tribute Was Awesome

This stuff is going to happen a lot over the next week, month, year but UMass did a great job today at their spring game.

From Yahoo Sports:  UMass’ announced earlier this week that it was going to wear commemorative helmet stickers during its spring game to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings, and offer those who participated in the Marathon a chance to come down to the field at halftime, run a lap and finish the race at a ceremonial finish line at midfield.  But this morning, the team added another touch — special jerseys to honors the victims and the city of Boston.

This is great stuff right here.  I’m not sure many people will be on hand for this with the Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox playing right now, but it’s got to be a pretty great scene.  Kudos to UMass for doing this and again, a shout out to the all the authorities who were involved in bringing these two to justice.  Thoughts once again go out to those families impacted by this tragedy.
