He sustained the injury during last month’s one-day international series against South Africa and has been sidelined since. He also missed the ongoing President’s Cup domestic one-day tournament for Habib Hank Limited.
The 29-year-old will undergo knife early next month in Melbourne.
Pakistan will play two ODIs against Scotland at Edinburgh on May 17 and 19 and two ODIs against Ireland at Dublin on May 23 and 26 before heading to England and taking on West Indies in their tournament opener at Birmingham on June 10.
