Indian startup Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled the pre-production prototype model of its F99 electric motorcycle in the country. It is claimed to be India's first superbike. This is the first time it has set foot in India after being showcased at the Milan Motorcycle Show in Italy last year. The F99 is expected to break multiple records in terms of speed.

The entire design and development of the Ultraviolette F99 was done at the company's R&D headquarters in Bangalore. The two-wheeler is a first of its kind in the Indian two-wheeler industry. Powered by a powerful 90 kW motor, this superbike is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds.

The F99 can reach a maximum speed of 265 km per hour. Building on this performance, the electric superbike is aiming to break a pair of records within the next three months. The first is the top speed record for an Indian motorcycle. And fast quarter mile times. The weight of this carbon fiber body bike is 178 kg.

Like the F77, the F99 model is also a badass to look at. At first glance it looks like a European bike. Premium hardware like Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, twin disc brakes are provided. Ultraviolet Automotive said the design of the bike was inspired by supersonic jets.
