Since the rise of minimalist British bands, such as Alt-J and The XX, British indie music has been getting a huge amount of attention from blogs the world over. Understandably, no one seems to adopt and experiment with the style better than other British bands. So without further ado, here’s another London based duo making some very pretty noise.

RAINER‘s latest single “Money”, from their forthcoming debut slated for release next week, is a slow-burning, hip-hop inspired pop track. The swooning vocals from lead singer, Rebekah, sit comfortably over the atmospheric mix of the song. As The Line of Best Fit suggests, what’s most impressive about this group is their ability to explore great topics on this track and previous single, “Girls”, such as the “pursuit for perfection” and “doing menial work to buy the freedom to do something you love.” We’re looking forward to seeing what other social commentary these guys bring to the table with their September release.
