Ubisoft is leaving PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the dust, and focusing its resources on the new generation.
During yesterday’s earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that starting this fiscal year, the mega publisher will not be developing or releasing games on old-gen consoles – PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 – with the exception of the Just Dance games.
“On Just Dance, we will continue to bring old-gen console versions. But on the other products like Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, The Division, and the unannounced franchise, we will not have old-gen versions.”
The unannounced franchise Guillemot is referring to is the one that’s due for a reveal later in the year.
