Owing to what I do, we eat outside all the time ( knock on wood) and we really need no special night to dine out, so we decided to stay in, chill and I promised husband to whip up a cocktail. Don't tell him how I plan to make it cuz it's the simplest, easiest yet most decadent cocktail I have ever made. It is practically a two ingredient cocktail that you don't really need to plan for ahead of time and you probably might even have the ingredients sitting in your bar.....like right now.
So, without wasting another second talking about my V-day plans and Netflix, and other nitty-gritty stuff, lets get to some cocktail-mixing.
INGREDIENTS:
- Rose- you could use either rose wine or champagne (both work for this cocktail )
- Sorbet- I chose raspberry, but strawberry would taste equally good.
- Extras (optional)- I used Jacobsen Salt co. salt crystals to rim the flute. To make this a little more V-day appropriate I garnished with some Vanilla cotton candy in pink.

STEPS:
- Take some salt on a plate and some orange juice in a little bowl. Dip the flute's mouth upside down in the juice first and then into the salt heap. The juice will help the salt to stick to the rim.
- Pop open your chilled rose champagne or wine and pour it into the flute.
- Scoop out some sorbet with a small spoon and carefully drop it into the flute. It will stay afloat at the top. Sorbet doesn't melt as fast as ice-cream, so you can enjoy your drink and worry less about the drink getting muddled.
- Drop in some raspberries if you like your drink more fruity.
- Garnish with a straw that has been lined with some cotton candy.
