An example of a politician being for something before it was politically convenient to be against it, comes directly from Barack Obama.
That is a far cry from 2004, when the then-Senator Obama not only favored stand your ground laws, but co-sponsored bill (SB 2386) which strengthened the 1961 stand your ground law in Illinois, by shielding the person who was attacked from being sued in civil court by perpetrators or their estates when a "stand your ground" defense is used in protecting his or her person, dwelling or other property.

That bill was passed on March 25, 2004 and went on to be signed into law.
Just another example of Obama speaking out of both sides of his mouth, depending on his chosen audience.
So when we listen to Obama's recent race speech, keeping in mind the information that he not only truly favors stand your ground laws, but given his own co-sponsored legislation in Illinois, we once again see a perfect example of the term "two-faced."
