Valve has launched a new service called “Steam Broadcasting”, which allows Steam gamers to live stream their game’s with their friends. Now, whenever you feel like showing off your awesome combo skills or get help from a friend to complete a level, you can simply invite a friend to watch your game stream through Steam.
To join, you simply have to click on the “Watch Game” button from the Friend’s List, which appears whenever one of your friend’s in playing a game. In order for this to work, both you and your friend needs to join Steam Broadcasting, which you can do by heading over to Settings > Account and changing your “Beta Participation” to “Steam Beta Update”. Steam Broadcasting will definitely be a massive blow to Twitch, as it allows gamers to directly stream with the friends already on their Steam list. Although, Twitch will still have its place as a separate community for gamers, including console gaming.
