Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

By Momfashionlifestyle @Fashnlifestyle

Don’t you just love this time of year??? Well, I know I sure do! The past few weeks have been filled with lots of Holiday Shopping, Christmas get togethers, and decorating.  I love the smell of the Noble Fir in my living room…. and baking sugar cookies with the munchkin. There is just something so comforting about this time of year! Pinterest has definitely been my go to for inspiration this holiday season. I loved these festive paper stars on Pinterest and I just had to try to make them!

They were so easy, I had to share!

What You Will Need:

Paper {I used Scrapbook Paper from Michaels}

Tape or Elmers Glue

Scissors

Pen or Pencil

Lets Begin.

Whatever size paper you use doesn’t matter as long as you start with a square.

Fold in half diagonally as pictured below.

Fold in half again diagonally the opposite way. The goal is to achieve lines as in the next photos.

Now fold in half again.

You should now have 8 separate lines in you paper starting from the center. Once you have these lines put four dots about two inches from the outer edge as pictured below.

Cut a slit from the outer edge to the dot. So you will have four slits one on each side of the paper. Now create flaps by folding each side in at each slit as pictured below.

Put glue or tape on ever other flap, to eventually create a “four point” star.

You can do it just one sided as pictured below and hang on a wall, but in order to have the star viewable from all directions you need to create another duplicate star following all of the directions above.

{One sided pictured above, two sided pictured below}

You can hang them in a window, perch them on a stack of books…. or use as a simple homemade Christmas tree topper! My living room is now filled with these stars! Hope you guys are having a fabulous start to your Thursday! Do you have any new favorite DIY Holiday decor ideas? Please do share!
