Twin Wave Release Slow-burning New Track ‘i’m Sold’ [premiere]

With only one previously released single, “Relapse”, to garner attention, Brooklyn’s Twin Wave have certainly still managed to hit the mark, solidifying their growing reputation with a supremely clever combination of psych-pop, rock and soul. Filled with well-concocted, shimmering guitar patterns and perfectly built percussion, this fusion manages to feel amazingly fresh, particularly on their new track, “I’m Sold”. A much more melodic, emotive and slow-building release than their previous effort, the song combines gently-layered, yet buoyant guitars and a simple drum pattern that intriguingly ebbs and flows as the song hits emotional highs.

Anchoring these elements, though, are incredibly soulful, earnest vocals from frontman Nick Williams. The periods of beautiful minimalism feel lush and fully-formed because his devastatingly authentic lyrics and smooth vocal approach are capable of filling the canvas completely — a feat that most fail to achieve. We’re so excited to be premiering this track, so stream it above, download if for free on their website and keep your ear to the ground for more from Twin Wave!
