Hey Eric & Sookie Lovers!
TV Guide has posted their review of True Blood – Episode 38, “You Smell Like Dinner” and we just had to share this little snippet from it!
SOOKIE and ERIC It’s kind of cute how Eric thinks that buying Sookie’s house will get her to like him, like pulling your crush’s pigtails in kindergarten, but Faerie Sookie is not amused. She’s not angry exactly. In fact, she doesn’t seem entirely opposed to Eric’s proximity. Nevertheless, real estate is involved, and in her mind, it’s her rightful property.
“Did I miss something? Are we girls now?” Pam asks, when Sookie seeks her counsel in extricating herself from her living arrangement. “Did we join a book club and read some queer chick-lit memoir so now we’re bonded together by estrogen or sisterhood or some other feminist drivel?” Ha! Nevertheless, Pam advises Sookie to accept Eric’s gift — and his protection, since our “faerie princess” is now most definitely a wanted commodity.
Meanwhile, Bill’s mole has told him that the witches are also necromancers (they can control the dead), which is bad news for the no-longer-livings known as vampires. He dispatches Eric to Marnie’s shop to bust up the dead-raising party. Lafayette, Jesus and Tara get caught in the crossfire when Eric lunges at Marnie’s throat. But Marnie’s shrinking violet act suddenly disappears to reveal a formidable witch, who is able with a simple curse to erase Eric’s memory.
Cut to Sookie coming across Eric as he walks aimlessly, shirtlessly down the road. He doesn’t recognize her, of course, but he sure loves the way she smells. Friends who have read the novels tell me that Amnesia Eric is a hoot, and they are correct.
Aww…even this person who has obviously never read the books – is getting on board the Eric & Sookie lovin’ train!
