La Taverna di Cecco in Siena was a perfect place for our 12 for lunch after the Palio Stage 2 in the AM.
They served us all a wonderful amuse gueule of tomatoes and bread crumbs and then while the gang had salads, pastas and so forth Colette had zucchini slices and eggplant slices and I had tripes Florentine which were just spicy and tomatoey enough to make them approiach the Gold Standard.
Our bill with two bottles of wine, much water and 5 coffees was 188.60 E, thus 31.43 E a couple.
