The gushing sound of the waters is almost deafening and the sight of the milky waters churning and lashing agaisnt the rocks is indeed a sight to behold.

It is key to note that the Trümmelbach Falls drains the glacial melt from the Eiger, Jungfrau and Monch at a speed of a whopping 20,000 liters/second. To say that it is a stunning sight is an understatement! The waters also carry boulders and scree adding to the whole power of the falls. The vertical cracks amidst the rocks that are punctuated by the gushing streams stand testimony to nature’s beauty.

While the railings are high and generally safe, it is always recommended to be extra cautious if you are traveling with small children. Be mindful for slippery floors if the water pressure is high and avoid bending over the railings. Infants and children under 4 as well as dogs are not allowed at these falls for safety reasons.
