Our favorite shifter found himself in a very dire situation at the end of True Blood episode 5, “Let’s Boot and Rally“. After Sam (Sam Trammell) stopped by to visit Luna (Janina Gavankar), he and Luna were gunned down by a masked redneck mob, but Emma (Chloe Noelle) was able to escape by shifting into a dog (a Husky puppy, which we know could mean one of two things: Emma is definitely a shifter OR the creators chose the one breed of dog that closely resembles a wolf and since wolf puppies are probably hard to find (and train), they went with a close second and Emma is a werewolf) and running off into the woods. We hate to say it, but it doesn’t look good for Luna, and we were seriously worried that Sam may have breathed his last Bon Temp breath (there are lots of rumors swirling around right now about major characters losing their life this season!). But, according to the official show synopsis for this week’s episode “Hopeless“, Sam is still among the living:
“The aftermath at the asylum leaves Sookie with an eerie sense of foreboding. At Fangtasia, Pam breaks up a vamp-girl fight, praising Tara for her tenacity. Lafayette visits Ruby Jean, who also received a disturbing message from Jesus. Fearing for his family’s safety, Terry blames his curse for his troubles with Arlene. Alcide challenges J.D.; Sam offers to help Andy investigate the recent shootings; Roman lays out his plans to take out Russell.”
Given Andy’s tweaked out behavior last season and how he treated Sam, do you think these two will work well together? Sam’s pretty good at letting bygones be bygones, but we’re not so sure about Andy…
