The first item that she carries in her Vince Camuto purse is a Tiffany pouch to store her wedding ring in while she’s filming since her character is newly single. Jurnee jokes that her ring gets lonely in there but she has other must haves to keep the ring company. Next up Jurnee has an Obama key chain that her husband gave her just before the last election. It is sparkly so its easy for her to find her keys. Smollett-Bell is an avid reader and keeps her library card close at hand and she says:
My library card is a must-have. I’m a third of the way through The Paris Wife by Paula McLain.
Looks like Jurnee and I have a lot in common because she also has a chocolate addiction. She says you can always find chocolate in her bag at all times. In fact, she’s such a huge chocolate fan that she has a Godiva membership so she goes once a month and gets a free piece of chocolate. I’m going to have to look into that!
Another one of her essential items is MAC’s Breath of Plum Blush. She jokes that she is always applying more blush but when she sees pictures she realizes that she has been a bit excessive when applying it.
Finally, Jurnee reveals an item that I think is so interesting and I would love to get:
“I’m a journal fanatic, jotting ideas or poems. My five-year Q&A a Day journal is the best. It makes you ponder questions like, ‘What are you grateful for?’”
