Anna Camp (Sarah Newlin) of True Blood will be starring in the upcoming film The Help based on the bestselling novel of the same name.  She plays Jolene French, friend of the main charater Skeeter (Emma Stone). The story is based during the civil right era in Jackson, Mississippi.

As part of her first writing assignment, Skeeter decides to interview ‘the help’: African American women who raise white children, and to tell their story from their point of view. However:

“Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk.”

The film is set to be released August 12, 2011, so look for it in your local theaters.
