TruBookie Takes Those Pesky Kids To Task

Diane, aka. TruBookie, who previously wrote “An Open Letter To Alan Ball” – recently shared her thoughts on the spoiler about Sookie and ‘those pesky kids’! She wants us to post it to see what you think about what she says.

Warning: If you don’t want to be spoiled – please don’t read below!

This is what she said;

Well, it seems we have a little more information on what happens to those pesky playground bullies that will appear in a Sookie flashback come season 5.

“The season-five premiere of True Blood will have a flashback to Sookie’s childhood, and we get to see her use her powers in a deliciously evil way to embarrass a couple of playground bullies. What did they do to piss her off? They don’t pick her for their kickball team! That is a wound that burns deep forever, kids…so be nice when playing kickball!”

I laughed out loud when I recalled saying in my review of season 5 that “The only way this MIGHT be remotely good is if she uses her microwave fingers of fail on the bully captains! Whom I am kidding? NOT EVEN THEN!”

I have two questions for people that actually pay attention to the show. (1) Isn’t this something we should have seen in season one( a few of us mentioned this earlier) and (2) when she first used her microwave fingers of fail for the first time on MaryAnn, why did she look like she had never seen it before in her life? The spoiler said she would use her ‘POWERS’ plural, not ‘POWER’ singular, so this implies that ‘magical light saber shooting out of her hands’, not just her telepathy. That is how I see it anyway.

If she had done this as a kid, wouldn’t she have remembered it? If she could remember what her uncle did to her and her parents freaking out with her reading minds; then surely she would have remembered this.  It appears to me he is alluding to all her powers, including her microwave fingers of fail. What do I know really though? I am just a fan while he is the supposed ‘showrunner genius’.

It really does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the writers  need to keep copious amounts of notes on things that have happened in the past.  I have a news flash for you Alan Ball, what you are doing is not working. I think you are in major need of continuity workers, I know quite a few who have been PAYING ATTENTION that can help you out with those problems.
