India as a country has been rich in textiles with Surat being the textile hub of India. It is the biggest center for man- made fiber besides being extremely popular for it’s silk and zari craft. Most people would also know of Surat being the diamond city too but for now our focus is textiles. In 2011 on popular customer demand Triveni widened their product range and included salwar suits, lehnga cholis, kurtis, accessories, digital fabrics, cotton and silk sarees to their collection. I was invited to an exclusive showcase of Triveni held at Api Ruche Unisex Spalon at Golf Course Road Gurgaon by the event organiser Ms Rosme Chaube. This two day exhibition at the Spalon premises was a well organised event with a neat display of their products which made it customer friendly. Good displays always make browsing easier for the customer which further helps in good sales. They had their collection catalogs too displayed so one could browse and order from them if required. These catalogs with each design carrying it’s individual codes are a popular part of Surat suppliers which is important for wholesalers, retailers and individuals too.

The range on display included sarees in art silk, synthetic georgettes and chiffons plus wovens, embroidered lehngas and pallazo outfits. The collections were available in a wide range of colors which was a lovely sight to the eyes. With the market being very price conscious they have products ranging from Rs 500/- and going upto Rs 18,000/- as told to me by the team from Triveni. The semi stitched outfits make it very convenient for the customer to put the entire attire together quickly. If required they do also undertake tailoring of their own outfits at an extra cost giving you a complete finished package . Their was an ample display of the half and half sarees which seem to have become a trademark Surat style.
