Tripathi and Malik Shine as Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Mumbai Indians

Rahul Tripathi and Umran Malik emerged as the standout performers from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) camp as they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by three runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday evening. With this win, SRH remain alive in the play-offs race. Tripathi scored a superb 76(44) to help SRH pile 193/6 after they were invited to bat first. Malik, on the other hand, scalped three wickets in the same number of overs as MI managed 190/7 in response.

Chasing 194, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan provided MI with a solid start. The pair have added 95 runs for the first wicket, before the pair were removed in quick succession. Rohit departed for 48(36), while Ishan was dismissed for 43(34). The Mumbai innings also featured a massive 26-run over, which saw Tim David hit T Natarajan for four huge maximums before he was run-out in the final ball.

Earlier in the evening, Tripathi stitched crucial partnerships with Priyam Garg, who replaced Kane Williamson at the top, and later with Nicholas Pooran. Garg scored 42(26), while Pooran chipped in with 38(22). Among the Mumbai bowlers, Ramandeep Singh emerged as the standout performer, picking three wickets in his four overs. Daniel Sams, Riley Meredith, and Jasprit Bumrah scalped one wicket each
