When Melissa Lopez asked me to post on her page, I was so flattered, humbled, and very honored. Melissa's positive outlook and bubbly personality are contagious and I was excited to be a part of it! I soon learned that the page really does make a difference to people. The page is all about finding the positive side of all of life's crazy situations and knowing that even in the darkest of times, there's something good that can come of it. I've had more than one occasion where I posted something and had one of the fans comment and say, "That was just what I needed today, thank you!" This page has really helped me stay positive when I'm having "one of those days" as well. So, if some of you haven't checked it out, you really should! We have Motivational Monday, Topple-Your-Troubles Tuesday, Words-of-Wisdom Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, and Funny Friday.
Well, now, on to a little more about me… I'm a small-town girl with strong country and military ties. I grew up in and still reside in Brigham City, Utah. I spent much of my time on one or the other of my grandparents' farms, especially on the weekends. My Dad served in the US Air Force and then worked at Hill Air Force Base for well over 20 years. I'm a coffee lover/addict by day and a wine lover by night. I'm a gadget junkie, purse/shoe addict, scrap-booking/craft enthusiast, and blogger who loves to read. I also love all types of music, am a sucker for a great quote, and I absolutely love to cook. Last, but certainly not least, I'm a wife and mom and work-at-home medical transcriptionist. There's definitely a little tomboy in the mix; I love to go camping, fishing, hiking, 4-wheeling, and I rather like playing in the mud. I also have a major appreciation for old muscle cars. There's friendly "Mustang vs. Camaro" banter going on between my husband and me on a regular basis. All in all, I'm a relatively normal person with just enough quirkiness and clumsiness to keep things interesting (*wink, wink*).
I really do love to write and express myself best through writing. I love to blog, but am pretty busy with working part-time at home, volunteering at my son's school, and taking care of the household, so I have a hard time keeping up with it like I should. So, when Melissa suggested joining forces, it really seemed like a perfect fit. And, hey, we already work so well together on the Positively Shining Page! So, Welcome!…or welcome back!...whichever the case may be. This should be fun!...Stay tuned… ~Trin
