A Mid-Century Modern Dream
I love seeing photos of fashion designers’ homes; it’s fascinating to see just how much their professional styles translate to their personal spaces. Take Trina Turk and hubbie’s L.A. home for example: a California girl at heart, Trina Turk’s laid back, retro color pop ‘n pattern style is clearly evident throughout this 1940′s post-and-beam dream-come-true — made their own with vintage pieces collected by the couple and fabrics from the designer’s own line.

Definitely one day we’ll be owners of a house similar in style (mark my words!), but we would want to add touches of vintage, rather than it feeling like you’re stepping back in time. But anyone that buys a mid-century modern home and refurbishes it up to its former glory is a hero in my book! (Did you ever hear about the Neutra house that was torn down in Palm Springs? Blasphemy!)
