Traveling To: Boston

By Thedreamery

For the past few years, my cousin and I, the only Patriots fans, take the drive up to Boston to watch our favorite football team play on home field. Having gone to school in Rhode Island, I always love getting away to this favorite city of mine, and each time up here, I’m reminded of how charming New England really is. As you can see from pictures of my past trips here and hereI hadn’t taken night photos since high school, so it was interesting editing these images and seeing what I was able to capture of Quincy Market once the sun went down. This trip made me nostalgic for the days living in New England, going to college, and experiencing some very happy memories with friends. It was nice that with a phone call or text, I’m still able to see long time friends whenever I come up. It’s even better when they work at Foxwoods and I get to see them during my annual trip to watch the Patriots play. Whenever I visit, a different memory about a place makes me realize how much I love this area, and should visit more often.

With so many amazing smells it was hard to choose what to enjoy for dinner, but we decided on sushi, and then a chai latte for a walk through the kiosks, where I bought the pup a Patriots decorated dog biscuit. The weather and timing couldn’t be more perfect for people watching, as Halloween celebrations in the city started early.  It was nice to be able to enjoy this city like I hadn’t before. We woke up early on game day, took a walk alongside the marina for a delicious breakfast at local favorite, Anthony’s Cafe. It’s just a completely different lifestyle, the people are active, inviting, and make the most of what Boston has to offer them. The city’s charm comforts you, and makes you want to discover the history lurking through the streets of Boston. Definitely a city for those who enjoy plenty to do, and all-American towns. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
