Verdict on Trap

Trap is a thriller following a serial killer who discovers he is being hunted at a pop concert. He learns he has been tracked down and the police are conducting a massive sting operation. It forces him to use his knowledge to stay under the radar and search for a way out before it is too late.

This movie takes a simple premise and runs with it. We have seen countless movies or TV shows following detectives hunting killers and setting up plans. However, flipping the script to show how a killer would react is incredibly interesting to watch. It feels smart, it runs smoothly and keeps you guessing as to what his next plan is.  Everything feels more like an old-school thriller and delivers on that. Josh Hartnett is incredible as the lead and you get genuinely scared of what his character could do. If we dive into the one negative thing involved, it would be the fact it does jump on the real-time concept it felt designed for.

Final Thoughts Trap is an excellent, edge-of-your-seat thriller.
